Artemis ABA reviews: how to judge them for ABA billing

People search "artemis aba reviews" to hear from other practices. Reviews help, but billing fit depends on your payers and your notes, so test the specific things that cause denials.

Reviews tell you about the interface. Your claims tell you about billing. Test both.

How to read software reviews for ABA billing

Look for reviews from practices with similar size and payer mix, and for specifics: authorization tracking, claim rejections, remittance posting and support response time. General praise or complaints about the interface say little about whether claims get paid.

This page does not list Artemis ABA's prices or feature details because we have not verified them from a published source. Ask the vendor for current pricing and terms in writing.

Key takeaways
  • It depends on how well it handles authorizations, concurrent 97153/97155 rules, provider modifiers and session-note completeness for your payers.
  • No prices are stated here unless they come from the vendor's own published page, linked in Sources.
  • Not necessarily. Many denials come from the session note or claim details, which a pre-claim check can catch while you keep your current system.

Tip. Look for specifics about authorizations, rejections and remittance posting, not general praise.

Questions to ask Artemis ABA (or any vendor)

  1. Can you show a 97153 and 97155 session on the same day, and exactly what goes on the claim?
  2. Where does the provider-level modifier come from, and can a biller override it?
  3. What happens when a session would exceed the authorization: a warning, a block, or nothing?
  4. Which fields must be complete in the session note before a claim can be created?
  5. How are 835 remittances posted, and can I filter denials by CARC code?
  6. What is the contract term, renewal notice period and any price-increase clause, in writing?
  7. How do I export all my data, in what format, and is there a fee?

Run a fair test

Bring three real, de-identified examples to any vendor call: a clean claim, a claim denied for authorization (for example CO-197), and a session where 97155 overlapped 97153. Ask the vendor to show what their system would have done with each. The answers show more than a feature list.

Keep your PM software; add a pre-claim note check

Switching practice management software is a large project: data migration, staff retraining and a period of slower billing. If the main problem is denials, a smaller step is to keep the system you have and add a check between the session note and the claim. The check compares each note to the rules the claim depends on (times, units against the authorization, signatures, modifier, place of service) and flags gaps before the claim goes out.

Whatever software you use, the pattern is the same: the claim is built from the session note, so most denials can be caught before the claim is submitted.

Watch out. A review is one practice's experience with its own payers. Your payer mix may behave differently.

FAQ

Is Artemis ABA right for a Florida ABA practice?

It depends on how well it handles authorizations, concurrent 97153/97155 rules, provider modifiers and session-note completeness for your payers. Ask for a walkthrough using one of your own denied claims.

Does this page list Artemis ABA prices?

No prices are stated here unless they come from the vendor's own published page, linked in Sources. Pricing changes, so get a written quote.

Do I have to switch software to reduce denials?

Not necessarily. Many denials come from the session note or claim details, which a pre-claim check can catch while you keep your current system.

What should I export before changing systems?

Clients, payers, authorizations with remaining units, session notes, claims history and remittances, in a format you can open without the old system.
